My favourite eating place is Solyanka Café 24 at Prospect Mira. Try the solyanka, a thick, piquant soup that is either meat-based, fish-based or vegetable-based. It is cooked with preserved cucumbers, olives, capers and tomato puree that make up a considerably strong sour-salty base of the soup.Solyanka is perhaps one of the most popular soup besides borscht in Russia, but remains unknown beyond the national boundaries. Be prepared to spend about S$20 per person for a full meal with soup.
